Keri and Gary's Spring Wedding at Bill Miller's Castle in Branford, CT

Keri and Gary got married May 4, 2019 at Bill Millers Castle in Branford, CT. These two officially launched my 2019 wedding season!

Before even getting into their wedding day, I just have to tell you a bit about this couple because they were so amazing to work with!

Keri had first reached out to me June 2018 as she was currently living in West Palm Beach and needed help planning her Connecticut wedding. I remember the first time I “met” her – we FaceTimed and she flipped the phone around to an absolutely stunning view of the Florida coast (all from her apartment balcony!). I was only slightly envious. We had such a great conversation and she was the sweetest bride-to-be; I knew we would get along great! She must have felt the same as we ended the call deciding to move forward with a contract!

She had contacted me at the very beginning stages of planning so we first needed to find her and Gary their perfect venue! We went on a few site visits before they decided Bill Millers was “the one.” After establishing the date and venue, it was time to build her dream team of wedding vendors (see the team we put together at the bottom of this post). Keri and Gary communicated almost daily for 11 months all about details, timelines, design and their life changes (during their engagement, they got a new puppy, she moved to a new state to start a new job, ALL while planning a destination wedding - talk about a stressful time!) We truly built a friendship during this process!

Finally, their wedding day came. Keri had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony but this New England weather in early May is never a known quantity. We decided as long as it was at least 60 degrees with no rain, we were making this happen outside. Mother Nature blessed us with a seasonal 65-degree (dry!) day. The girls all gathered in Bill Miller’s oversized bridal suite (it’s literally like an apartment, complete with a mini kitchen, bathroom, balcony and multiple areas to sit and hang!) and sipped on champagne, nibbled on fruit platters and got hair and makeup done by the stylists with Salon Naomi. They all looked absolutely beautiful!

Keri and Gary had decided against doing a First Look but they did decide to write each other notes to read aloud before the ceremony. I absolutely love when couples take the time to craft their feelings for one another with letters. It’s such a special thing that you will treasure forever.

Around 5pm, guests started arriving and the couple was getting excited for their big moment. Keri and I hid out in the bridal suite until it was time for her to walk down the aisle. It was so special for me to be the one that was with her before she walked out to marry the love of her life!

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an abundant cocktail hour out on the deck followed by their indoor reception. Lights, Camera, DJ’s kept the music pumping all night and the dance floor was never empty. Before the end of the evening, Keri, Gary, the bridal party and myself, snuck out for some sparkler fun where Bruno Sauma with Beauty and Life Captured, got some STUNNING shots of the couple.

Keri and Gary had such a special day in a unique setting surrounded by all of their friends and family. I am always so grateful to be a part of someone’s wedding day and this one was no exception. Thank you Keri and Gary for being so amazing and I already miss working with you!

And thank you to this superb team of vendors that made their day possible! It was a pleasure working alongside each and every one of you!
