You know what my favorite part about working with a wonderful family is? Getting to work with them twice!
I was so honored to be chosen not once by twice by the Coletta family to plan two of their family weddings. The first one I did was back in February 2020 for Kerri (you can see her gorgeous Newport wedding here) and the second one was October 2021 for David Coletta.
Kelsey and David were married on a seasonal October day in Providence, Rhode Island.
The weekend began the night prior with a rehearsal dinner at Kelsey's parents home in Tiverton, RI.
The wedding day was spread across multiple spots in greater Providence. Kelsey opted to get ready at home while David got ready at a hotel in downtown Providence. We really wanted a beautiful setting for pictures so we had limos pick each of them up and drive them both to Roger Williams Park. They shared their First Look at the Temple to Music before coming to their venue, The Guild, to get ready for the ceremony.
The Guild mainly functions as a brewery in Pawtucket, RI but they recently opened an industrial yet rustic event barn across from the beer hall. One of the challenges of this space was the location of the bridal suite and how we would orient the ceremony. During one of our pre-planning meetings, I suggested this circular ceremony set-up as something outside of the box yet functional. I knew Kelsey and David were looking to have a non-traditional wedding day so this seemed like a great option for them. And it was a unique experience for our guests!
After exchanging their "I Do's" we sent everyone across the property to the actual brewery. Guests were treated to a station of empanadas from one of their favorite local food trucks, Matilda's, brews made right on-site, a variety of games as well as a caricature artist! I told you we were doing things differently!
During cocktail hour, we quickly transformed the barn into the final set-up: dinner & dancing.
We had a few more surprises for guests as the night wore on. Another food truck arrived for late night - Burgundian Waffles. You guys. These waffles were no joke and maybe the most delicious food I've eaten at a wedding to date! I don't think there was ever not a line for these. We also booked Espresso Dave to serve up seasonal warm beverages and custom coffee creations.
It was another fabulous Coletta family wedding in the books!
Thank you to this team of vendors for bringing another creation to life!
